Animal Classes
Hands-on Learning
We offer fun, interactive classes for children and adults on a variety of subjects.
Our animal classes allow you to learn about the animals we raise. From hatching chickens to milking goats to building burrows for rabbits, our classes let you get up close and personal with our friendly farm animals! We offer animal classes in the early spring and fall.
Class schedules are built around student availability. On each class form you'll find a section to put in times and days that work for you. Once we have an idea of what times work for everyone, we will contact you to let you know the schedule and you can choose which time slot to sign up for.
All About Rabbits
Get hands-on with rabbits in this unique unit study! Learn about rabbits' role in the ecosystem, their diet, and how to take care of them as pets. Each week you'll get to handle, play with, or feed treats to the rabbits. We offer a 4-week version every spring and a condensed 3-week version before Christmas. The cost is $55 a student for the spring session or $45 a student for the winter session, which covers the class cost and the activity book they get to take home.
All About Goats
Interested in homesteading goats? Always wanted to milk one? This 4-week unit study teaches students about goats in the wild and as domestic animals. Each week includes spending time with our goats to see what they're learning in action. The highlight for many of our students is the milking demonstration where they get to milk our gentle dairy goats! The cost is $55 a student, which covers the class cost and the activity book they get to take home.
